Staff Report From York County CEO
Tuesday, September 4th, 2018
Each September, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce embarks on the Chamber Alliance Grassroots Tour which includes interactive events allowing area businesses to voice their opinions about issues affecting the economy across the state. Once again, the York County Regional Chamber will host the luncheon event for our region in conjunction with the Chester County, Greater Clover, Greater York, Lake Wylie, and Lancaster County chambers. Registration is now open for the program which is set for Tuesday, September 11 from 11:30am-1:00pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rock Hill.
“The annual Grassroots Tour is key to setting the business communities agenda for the upcoming year. We get to hear from a broad and diverse group of business leaders from all regions of the state,” said Ted Pitts, President and CEO of the S.C. Chamber of Commerce. “There is no stronger advocate for the state’s business community than our local and regional chamber partners. Together we are working to make South Carolina the best place in the nation to live, work and do business.” The feedback received from the meetings will shape the state Chamber’s 2019 Competitiveness Agenda and priorities for the 2019 legislative session.
Representatives of large corporations, various service industries, and small business owners alike are encouraged to attend this event. Lunch will be served and seating is limited. Reservations with full payment must be made in advance at www.yorkcountychamber.com or by phone at 803-324-7500.
