York Technical College will offer its first ever Wintermester, a four-week term for students to take select courses online.  Wintermester term will run December 17, 2018 through January 11, 2019.

With nearly 20 different courses being offered, current York Tech students and transient students (visiting students enrolled at other college and universities) are encouraged to take advantage of Wintermester courses during their holiday break. The courses are offered in an 100% online format, which means students will complete their entire term without stepping foot on campus.   Additionally, many of the courses are transferrable to four-year colleges and universities.

“Wintermester is a demonstration that the college is fully committed to maximizing student success,” expressed Stacey Moore, the College’s Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. “We are offering a robust series of online courses that will allow students to take needed college credits in an accelerated time frame from the comfort of their own homes!”

Wintermester courses are offered at the College’s regular tuition rates. Most courses offered during Wintermester are three credit hours each.  For students who are residents of York and Chester counties, that’s just $531 per course!  Additionally, the College is waiving course fees for this year’s Wintermester term.

“Wintermester is an incredible opportunity because students can catch up or get ahead on their degree with online courses completed in just four weeks,” said Moore. “Students enrolling in Wintermester will be able to take any number of a robust set of courses at an incredibly affordable rate with high-quality faculty.”
